Description
-----------

mint-fm2 is an auto generating and auto updating menu system for the Fluxbox window manager. It was inspired by MarchFluxMenu (http://code.google.com/p/marchfluxmenu/) but is a complete rewrite in bash.

Features
--------

-Auto generates and auto updates the Fluxbox menu in compliance with www.freedesktop.org standards thereby giving a familiar menu.
-Support for localizations: the menu generated will be in the system default language where available.
-An accurate search algorithm to locate icons for menu entries. Menu icons can be enabled or disabled.
-Very low resource usage in monitoring mode using inotify.

Installation
------------

The debian package will setup the system wide daemon to monitor for changes.

You will have to launch the menu in your Fluxbox startup file (~/.fluxbox/startup) so that mint-fm2 can manage your own custom menu. Simply add the following line at an appropriate place.

/usr/lib/linuxmint/mint-fm2/./mint-fm2-launcher &&> /dev/null

Then delete your current menu with

rm ~/.fluxbox/menu

Log out (or Ctrl+Alt+Backspace), log back in and enjoy your new menu!

Uninstallation
--------------

Uninstalling the debian package will remove all system files. For complete uninstallation, users will have to delete the configurations folder located at

~/.mint-fm2
